Sofer was featured in the films Keeping the Faith and A Stranger Among Us as in the TV movies Always and Forever and Saved by the Bell : Hawaiian Style. Rena was married to Sanford Bookstaver, a producer and director. They have a son. InStyle Magazine featured their wedding in 2004. She was formerly married to General Hospital co-star Wally Kurth and had one daughter.
