She has appeared on the TV shows Seinfeld, Melrose Place, Ed, Friends, The Chronicle, Spin City, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, Blind Justice, Heroes, Dirty Sexy Money, Bones, and Two and a Half Men. Sofer was featured in the films Keeping the Faith and A Stranger Among Us as in the TV movies Always and Forever and Saved by the Bell : Hawaiian Style. Rena was married to Sanford Bookstaver, a producer and director. They have a son. InStyle Magazine featured their wedding in 2004. She was formerly married to General Hospital co-star Wally Kurth and had one daughter.
