Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album ADN was made available by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album made it to the 8th spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined Ozuna to record The Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he debuted the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina and also collaborated on Mala Influencia along with Noriel. The singer appeared in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her smash streaming song Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His older brother and mother are each musicians. According to Turizo, music was an integral aspect of his daily life. As a child, he was taught how to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. While his initial goal was becoming a veterinarian his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons with a Cuban.
